The health and safety at work act 2015 requires employers and employees to identify risks and eliminate hazards in the workplace. A drug and or alcohol impaired worker is considered a potential hazard. Drug and alcohol screening should be included in the company policy to ensure a safe working environment.

OHSMED can provide onsite urine or saliva drug screening and detect substances using a 6 panel drug test. 

Alcohol screening is done using an alcohol breathalyser.  OHSMED complies with the unit standard AS/NZ 4308:2008 procedures for specimen collection and the detection and quantification of drugs of abuse in urine. Not negative samples can be sent to the ESR for further testing and confirmations.
