Lung Function Tests (Spirometry)

Exposure to respiratory inhalants such as dust, fumes and chemicals can be harmful to the lungs and lead to the development of lung disease. It is recommended to conduct health monitoring on any employees exposed to respiratory inhalants like Asbestos or dust, to detect any early signs of ill health or disease due to exposure. Employee lung function (Spirometry) is the most common form of respiratory health monitoring in the workplace. It is a quick and painless test where the employee inhales and exhales forcefully into a tube attached to Spirometer. Those employees with below normal results will be referred to the appropriate medical professional for further assessment. A lung function test takes around 15 minutes to complete and is followed by a full report and recommendations.
